Heinbockel Inn Bar & Grill opened in 1929. It was
located on Bethel Rd. At that time it was a railroad stop for good food and
drinks. In 1947 the building was cut into four sections and moved to Finck
Rd, then put back together where it stands today. The Heinbockel’s the
original owners were known as friendly kind people. Mrs. Heinbockel worked
mostly in the kitchen preparing wonderful meals. She always made sure her
customers ate well and took care of them. The customers loved her.
Heinbockel Inn Bar & Grill is now owned and operated by
Randy & Yong Simas. They continue the tradition the Heinbockel’s
started. A variety of appetizers, pizza, burgers and sandwiches are
available as well as draft beer, a variety of bottled beers and mixed
drinks. All Day Monday's we have $1.50 domestic beer special and bartenders
choice shot special, every on Thursday from 4 PM - 6 PM.
In 1982 was the first Crawdad race,
which is now an annual event in it’s 26th year. In 1984 a man by the name
of Dick Varian wrote an entertaining poem about this event. (Please See Heinbockel Poem) This event is great fun
for the whole family. The annual crawdad feast is a wonderful treat after
the races. Come join in on all the fun!!!
This years
race will be held on September 21, 2008 Followed by the
